The Montreal Alouettes host the Calgary Stampeders in week four of the CFL season. Here’s all you need to watch.

After three weeks, Calgary and Montreal appear to be on opposite trajectories. The Stampeders have won two straight after an opening week tie. Montreal won their season opener but lost back to back games.

Offensively, Montreal struggles to move the chains and put up points. Quarterback Darian Durant’s first season in Montreal has not gone well. Durant is averaging a career low in yards per attempt, and has only thrown three touchdowns but has two interceptions. The only positive on the Alouettes offensive has been running back Tyrell Sutton, who is leading the league in rushing. However, the Montreal defense is good enough to steal a win against Calgary. After three games, Montreal has only allowed 62 points. If they can frustrate the Stampeders they could steal a win at home.

After going 15-2-1 a season ago, Calgary has been almost as good to start this season. Calgary’s offense leads the league in points behind reigning Most Outstanding Player Bo-Levi Mitchell. The Stamps offense could be getting even better as receiver DaVaris Daniels is getting healthier after being injured against Ottawa. Daniels is one of the league’s best depth threats and has the ability to take the top off of Montreal’s defense. Calgary’s defense simply does not make mistakes and takes advantage when other teams do.
