Curacao face Mexico at the Alamadom on Sunday, July 16. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Curacao face Mexico Sunday in what is each team’s last group stage game of the Gold Cup. Mexico dominated El Salvador in their first game 3-1 and drew with Jamaica in their second game. Curacao lost to both Jamaica and El Salvador by a combined score of 4-0. They’re looking for their first points in Group C play.

Curacao are eliminated from advancing past the group stage after disappointing showings in their first two games. They’ll be looking for some sort of improvement against Mexico. This is their first Gold Cup appearance in their history and to come away without a goal would be disappointing, especially with a somewhat talented roster. All of their roster, apart from three players, play across Europe at different capacities. That includes record goalscorer Felitciano Zschusschen.

Mexico are the defending Gold Cup champions and this is a great game to flex their muscles as the favorite in the tournament. They simply need to gain a point to advance to the next round and the chance to bolster their roster. Mexican chances in the tournament may rest on the young team’s cohesiveness. A weaker opponent of Curacao’s caliber gives them a good chance to work through some of the issues they’ve have defensively.

Mexico’s consistency and discipline in all facets of the game should be enough against Curacao, who haven’t won a game in their last 10 games in all competitions.
