Will anyone be able to take down Chris Froome in the penultimate stage of the 2017 Tour de France on Saturday?

When it comes to the Tour de France, Stage 20 is really the finale. The final day on Sunday is more of a celebration ride for the eventual champion and  a chance to celebrate in Paris. However, the time trial stage on Saturday, is when everyone will make a run at Chris Froome.

With just a 23-second lead, Froome will have to make sure he puts his best effort forward in the individual time trial. He gets the golden opportunity of getting to go last, which means he will know what he needs to beat to clinch yet another crown.

Froome has always been a great time trial specialist and that’s going to make it tougher for Romain Bardet. While the gap between the two isn’t the largest, Bardet is basically going to have to put together the time trial of his life.

At this point, this is Froome’s to lose via something far greater than a poor time trial. As long as he just stick to his course of action, everyone will be getting ready to sing his praises once again this year.
