Are the Lakers really going to sit around a year and wait for LeBron?

One of my tips for navigating NBA Summer League is to form uneasy alliances with Lakers fans. Two of those fans whom I have buddied up with in the last two years in Las Vegas are Anthony Irwin (@anthonyirwinLA) and Harrison Faigen (@hmfaigen). They co-host the Locked on Lakers podcast, in addition to writing for SilverScreenandRoll.com.

Anthony and Harrison join the latest episode of Fastbreak Breakfast to review the Lakers Summer League title, the impressive debuts of Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma, and the overall state of the franchise. In the process they undergo a lot of badgering, defend [some of] the moves of the front office and start to question why they ever agreed to come on the show in the first place. So whether you are a Kobe stan or a Laker hater, this episode of Fastbreak Breakfast will have something for you.

A few of the topics covered:

  • Has the Lonzo Ball hype gotten too big too quickly?
  • Despite the hope of the summer, how will the fanbase handle another year of losing?
  • Who plays more minutes in 2017-18: Corey Brewer, Luol Deng or Kyle Kuzma?
  • What other Biblical citations has Rob Pelinka gotten incorrect?
  • How did Paul George not end up in Los Angeles?
  • Where does Julius Randle finish the year?
  • What was Timofey Mozgov’s best moment in the purple and gold?
  • Are Brook Lopez and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope really just placeholders for the dream of acquiring LeBron James next season?
