Eva Marie still stuck in traffic, won’t be coming back to WWE.

It’s official. WWE and Eva Marie have parted ways. No, you didn’t travel back in time to last year. This is a real thing that happened Friday, Aug. 4.

WWE confirmed the departure with the standard, “We wish her well in her future endeavors” line.

On August 18, 2016, Eva was suspended by the company 30 days for violating the wellness policy. The former Total Divas star denied taking anything out of the ordinary. She claimed that Adderall triggered the failed test and that it was a legal prescription of which she had previously informed WWE about.

WWE doctors denied the drug being approved.

During her suspension, Ms. “All Red Everything” began looking for other opportunities outside of WWE and ditched her red locks for a much darker look. She also removed mentions of WWE from her social media.

Prior to the wellness violation, Eva had been appearing on SmackDown Live as the wrestler who never wrestled. Whether it was traffic or a wardrobe malfunction, the spectacular Eva Marie always found a way out of wrestling. Her last on-screen appearance in the company came on August 16, 2016 when she was attacked by Naomi prior to the match starting.

Aside from not wrestling and drawing an insane amount of heat for her lack of wrestling ability, Eva was best known as a member of E! reality show Total Divas. When she wasn’t wearing a bikini and partaking in photoshoots, she was typically arguing with husband/manager Jonathan.

Last season of Total Divas concluded with a cliffhanger surrounding Eva’s status with the company. With her departure now official and the cast of next season already announced, it’s unlikely that we’ll see a follow-up to the cliffhanger play out on the show.

Given her look and ability to garner a reaction, the door is likely open for a return down the line.
