Training camps are now getting underway, NBA previews are being released, Omer Asik is announced out with an injury. Basketball is back baby!

Last week on Fastbreak Breakfast we looked at some of the most anticipated 5-man lineups for the upcoming season. Over at Yahoo Sports, Dan Devine (@yourmandevine) ranked the entertainment value of the presumed 13 worst teams. As bad teams and the deepest recesses of the regular season are explicitly the milieu of our podcast, it was only natural to invite Dan on to debate the merits of his rankings.

(For the sake of his article, Dan chose eight squads from the Eastern Conference and five from the West. Technically at least one of these Eastern Conference teams will make the playoffs, but that does not prevent us from comfortably labeling them “not very good.”)

So is there anything entertaining about the Hornets and Magic? Is claiming the Nets and Knicks are interesting a case of big market bias? Will the Bulls be a beautiful mess or just a mess? And which regular punching bag of Fastbreak Breakfast will actually top the list of the “Bad Team Watchability” power rankings?
