There has been an arrest made in the stabbing case of Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams. Just a few days after he was forced to undergo surgery to repair a “lacerated colon”, one of the three men that was involved in the attempted car-jacking has been brought to justice.

25-year-old Michael C. Paranay was the man arrested. According to the police report, he punched Adams, while another man stabbed him and another had a gun pointed at him. Among the charges Paranay faces are attempted homicide and aggravated assault, according to Michael Hasch of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Thankfully, Adams is expected to make a full recovery.

There are some very frightening details in the police report such as the following exchange:

"Mike Adams: “You aren’t going to shoot me on the street in front of people.” The gunman said, “I want your car or I’ll shoot you in the face and kill you in front of everyone!”"

When the men were running from the scene, one dropped a cell phone which ultimately led to Adams identifying one of the criminals from a photo line up.

Hopefully all of the men will eventually be brought to justice, but thankfully Adams is going to be okay and he avoided what could have been a very tragic situation.
