Keenan Allen-San Diego Chargers

The Chargers rookie standout is still on the waiver wire in almost 20% of ESPN leagues, but is quickly turning into an elite option for the Chargers and a solid WR2 play week-in and week-out. Allen has stepped into the role of Philip Rivers top receiver and has four touchdowns in the last two weeks showing his value as a red zone target as well. Last week, due to game plan, he was only targeted five times as the Chargers controlled the clock against Denver throwing just 20 times in the game. Expect him to return to a high level of targets this week in the normally pass-heavy Bolts’ attack.

This week he’s a low-end WR1 as San Diego hosts the Raiders looking to avenge their week five loss in Oakland. This week they’ll meet at Quallcomm Stadium in San Diego where the weather will be warm and sunny.

Allen’s outlook is just as positive as he takes on the Raiders who have allowed a league-high 34.7 points per game over the past seven weeks including 31, 37, and 56 the last three weeks.
