Seattle’s Defense Still Owns Peyton Manning, Kind Of…

For whatever reason, the Seattle Seahawks have Peyton Manning’s number and they know it. After obliterating him in the Super Bowl this past February, the Broncos marched into Seattle and got swallowed alive thanks to the Legion of Boom doing what it does best.

But while it was looking like the Broncos were dead in the water, Manning helped force overtime with a stellar and classic drive that resulted in a touchdown and two-point conversion.

Manning had a much better game this time around than he did in Super Bowl XLVIII but no matter how much momentum the Broncos defense swung the way of the offense, Manning could only muster up 20 points to show for it — and he only really deserves credit for half of that. Seattle’s defense was stung after the Charger’s game last week but if there was any doubt as to how well they could stop Peyton Manning again, none exists anymore.
