LOSER: New York Jets

Where to start? The loss in San Diego was a team effort as everything from the playcalling, to the execution to the ineptitude of the quarterbacks—all of it resulted in a 31-0 loss where the Jets had 151 yards on offense total.

There’s really no one explanation for the Jets, nor is there a quick fix. There was clamoring for Michael Vick last week, but he was just as bad as Geno Smith. Chris Ivory looked good on the ground but the Jets were so far behind they couldn’t run the ball often. The secondary struggled (far more than it normally does) and the defense, while able to generate pressure, couldn’t finish.

Heck, the top ranked run defense got gashed by a fourth string running back for 114 yards and a touchdown.

There was no silver lining this week and in a spotlight such as the one any New York team is in, this is going to be a long week.
