This will cover the games that kickoff between noon and 2 pm eastern time. The picks for the mid-afternoon games will be up by noon. The picks for the later games will be up by 5 pm eastern.
Texas vs. (11)Oklahoma(-16.5) at Dallas: This is laughable. There is no way the Sooners win by this much. Give me Texas.
Illinois at Wisconsin(-26.5): Which Wisconsin team shows up? The one that tramples awful defenses would be my guess. Give me Wisconsin.
Cincinnati at Miami(FL)(-16.5): The Hurricanes seem to get better every game. You can’t say the same for the Bearcats. I will take Miami at home.
West Virginia(-5.5) at Texas Tech: The Tech defense won’t be able to stop West Virginia. Give me WVU.
(1)Florida State(-23.5) at Syracuse: The Orange are usually tough at home, and I am still not sold on Florida State as an elite team. Give me Syracuse.
(13)Georgia(-2.5) at (23)Missouri: I think the Bulldogs are going to have all kinds of trouble without Gurley. Chubb has not been great so far. I have to go with Missouri.
Tulsa at Temple(-17.5): This is a big line, but Tulsa has been dominated by nearly everyone. I have to go with the Owls at home.
Indiana at Iowa(-3.5): I don’t trust the Indiana defense or the Iowa offense. Tails. Indiana it is!
Louisiana-Monroe at Kentucky(-21.5): This is a huge line for a Kentucky team that has had all sorts of off the field issues. That said, they have all involved freshmen, and only one was a big contributor so far. Kentucky has too much talent. Can they prove it? I’m hoping so, cause I’m going with Kentucky.
Northwestern at Minnesota(-3.5): The Northwestern defense has been very solid of late. I think this game stays within three. Give me Northwestern.
Middle Tennessee State at Marshall(-24.5): This line has risen to at least a half point too high. Give me MTSU.
Rice(-1.5) at Army: This line opened with Army favored, and is still even in some spots. There are some lines that are Rice -3, so it’s all over place. I still like Rice here.
Duke at (22)Georgia Tech(-3.5): Duke is probably the best offense Tech has faced this year. I think I like the Blue Devil straight up.
Buffalo(-14.5) at Eastern Michigan: I don’t like the half, but I like the Eagles even less. Give me Buffalo.
Arkansas State(-10.5) at Georgia State: GSU has been great about not getting covered, but I think the Red Wolves buck that trend. Give me Ark State.
Bowling Green at Ohio(EVEN): This line has bounced all over the place as well. It shouldn’t. Give me BGSU for my lock of the early games!
Massachusetts at Kent State(-1.5): UMass is bound to break through one of these games. Give me the Minutemen.
Miami(OH) at Akron(-14.5): This is a pretty big line, but Akron almost beat Pitt by this much. Give me the Zips.
New Mexico State at Troy(-6.5): Ugh. Both of these teams have been terrible. I’m going with the Aggies because I think it will be ugly, and it will stay close.
Western Michigan at Ball State(-2.5): Jahwann Edwards should be able to cover this by himself, right? RIGHT? Give me Ball State.
