Seattle Seahawks’ Players ‘Stunned’ At Percy Harvin Trade
By Hayden Kane
Seattle Seahawks‘ players are reportedly ‘stunned’ that teammate Percy Harvin was traded to the New York Jets in the middle of the 2014 NFL season.
The Seattle Seahawks shocked the NFL world on Friday afternoon when they traded electric wide receiver and return man Percy Harvin to the New York Jets for a conditional draft pick.

Speculation immediately started as to why the Seahawks would actually trade such a dynamic talent. Why would they part with Harvin after trading a king’s ransom for him and then making a significant financial commitment to him shortly thereafter?
Locker room tension was a prevailing theme in reports that followed the trade. Harvin reportedly had issues with franchise quarterback Russell Wilson. He also might have punched Golden Tate in the face before last year’s Super Bowl.
So, if Harvin is kind of a jerk in the locker room, did Seahawks players see this trade coming? Not exactly, at least not according to Mike Freeman:
Whether because of drama, durability issues, or lack of production, the Seahawks decided they were better off moving on from Harvin when they had the chance to get something in return for him.
We surely have not heard the last reports and theories about Harvin’s departure, so it should be fascinating to hear the stories that might emerge in the coming days. For now, it sounds like Seahawks’ players did not have any idea a trade was coming, even if they were aware of drama with Harvin in the locker room.
