Ranking The Top 5 NFL MVP Candidates
By Evan Massey
4. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning is once again in the conversation for the MVP award and rightfully so. He has led the Denver Broncos to a 5-1 record, and has been putting up big numbers once again this season. Not only has he put up a big season, he broke the NFL’s most touchdown passes record last night that was previously held by Brett Favre.
Through the first six games of the regular season, Manning has thrown for 1,848 yards, 19 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. Those numbers show just how valuable he has been for the Broncos, and he is leading the NFL’s best team so far. It is very obvious that Manning wants to get back to the Super Bowl after getting embarrassed last season, and he might very well be able to deliver that for his team.
At the age of 38, Manning still is one of the best players in the game. He is actually playing some of the best football of his career, and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. The Broncos know that he doesn’t have forever, but they are enjoying him while he is still leading the way for them.
