Ranking The Top 5 NFL MVP Candidates

2. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the biggest surprises so far in the NFL season, and the main reason for their success has been the play of running back DeMarco Murray. He has dealt with major injury issues throughout his entire career, and finally appears to be 100 percent healthy and has stayed that way thus far. Dallas has seen him break onto the scene and become the best running back in the league, especially with all of the issues that Adrian Peterson is currently going through.
Murray has carried the football 187 times for 913 yards and seven touchdowns already this season. Needless to say, those numbers are extremely impressive for a running back through the first seven games of the season, and the Cowboys have every reason to be excited and optimistic about him. His explosion this year has also taken a lot of pressure off of starting quarterback Tony Romo.
Dallas really believes that they are ready to blow up this year and compete in a very difficult NFC. They will have to continue to prove that they can keep this type of play up consistently, but as long as Murray is healthy they will have one of the biggest offensive threats in the NFL. Expect to see him continue putting up big numbers and continuing the career season that he is having.
