1. Chicago Bears (3-4)

I had high hopes for the Bears this season. With Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, and Martellus Bennett, the Bears should be one of the best offensive teams in the league and should be able to score enough points to win games when their defense lets them down. It’s just been one of those years.

The Bears should be panicking more than any other team in the league at this point. At 3-4, the Bears will need a miraculous second half of the season to keep pace in the NFC. They’re the third-best team in their division right now, and it’s going to be difficult to keep up.

Chicago is allowing 24.4 PPG, which is the 22nd-best in the league. Again, that would be manageable if the offense was as good as it could be. Instead, Jay Cutler isn’t helping his defense out much, and the offense is only averaging 22.4 PPG.

Chicago has the pieces to be a good team, but it’s not looking they’re there yet. Another loss before Week 10 or 11 could eliminate the Bears from the playoffs, not mathematically, of course, but emotionally.

Time to hit the panic button, Bears fans.
