Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has a very strange press conference about the San Francisco 49ers and kept repeating his answer over and over.

It’s been a rough week for Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Hell, who am I kidding, it’s been a rough few years for the signal caller.

After RGIII’s rookie season, the quarterback looked to be on the track to super stardom but now is fighting for his job with two career backup’s nipping at his heels (and in all honesty playing better). Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden stated he would not bench Robert Griffin III though it’s clear his ice is super thin and another poor performance against the San Francisco 49ers could potentially do him in.

Given that, the quarterback says he’s focused on the 49ers and the upcoming game this weekend. No, he’s really focused. Like, extremely focused as he stated he was “focused on San Francisco” nine different times during his mid-week press conference.

Seriously, is this the complete reversal of Allen Iverson’s anti-practice speech?!

RGIII was on the mic for about seven minutes yet somehow managed to get out “focused on San Francisco” on nine different occasions. Given that, it seems almost impossible to believe he gave any answer outside of “focused on San Francisco” to any of the local media present.

You can’t help but feel for Robert Griffin who hasn’t been the same quarterback since his injuries. In fairness to RGIII, he doesn’t rely on such as a crutch for his poor play but it’s obviously hurt his game. Perhaps some of the rumors regarding his lack of proper study habits and lack of desire to win are true, but denying that his injuries have turned him into a different player is simply choosing not to see the obvious.
