By Hayden Kane
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions saw their defensive end Ezekiel Ansah celebrate a sack with a turkey dance in the first game of NFL action on Thursday against the Chicago Bears.
That Jay Cutler was sacked was nothing new.

Unfortunately for Mr. Cutler, he has spent the better part of his career with the Bears with opposing pass rushes in the backfield and in his business. That it happened on Thanksgiving, however, made this a special occasion, and Lions’ defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah celebrated appropriately.
What you have here is a standard arm-flapping turkey dance, followed by the gestures of one eating food, presumably turkey. That makes it a celebration from multiple perspectives: that of the people celebrating, and that of the birds that we eat to celebrate. Or something.
The Bears started hot in this game, only to see the Lions go on a charge and take control for an easy win. As the momentum shifted, so to did the fortunes of Chicago’s offense. This game started with promise for the Bears, only to fall into the usual struggles that have plagued them all year. That happened to the Bears while Ansah and the Lions enjoyed themselves.

If you’re a Lions’ fan, it’s been a happy Thanksgiving so far.
