Fantasy Football Week 14 Biggest Busts: Top Disappointments
Running Backs
Alfred Morris-Washington Redskins: In a disastrous Sunday for Washington, Morris only managed six yards on his eight carries while catching a pass for 11 yards. The entire offense was a train-wreck and the running game was effectively shut down by the Rams as St. Louis took Morris completely out of his game.
Giovani Bernard-Cincinnati Bengals: In a game where fantasy points were plentiful, Bernard didn’t get his share as he continued to struggle in his timeshare with Jeremy Hill. Bernard got six carries for 17 yards caught three passes for 19 more yards while failing to find the end zone and getting out-touched by Hill 11-9 and out-gained 67-35.
Mark Ingram-New Orleans Saints: It was a bad day for New Orleans and Ingram’s 43 yards on ten carries with no touchdown was just a small part of their problems. Ingram did catch a pair of passes for 13 more yards which saved some of his value with 50+ total yards, but it was still an underwhelming showing.
Rashad Jennings-New York Giants: Jennings was active, but hopefully you didn’t add him to your lineup as he was extremely limited as the Giants ran all over the Titans on Sunday with most of the success going to Jennings’ backup Andre Williams. Jennings only had two carries for five yards and added nine yards on his one reception.
Ryan Mathews-San Diego Chargers: Mathews totaled 44 yards on his 11 rushes against New England and wasn’t a part of the passing game with Donald Brown and Brandon Oliver both drawing more targets than Mathews did. He did catch a single pass for four yards but his lack of touchdown cemented his status as a one of the fantasy football week 14 biggest busts.
Denard Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars: While I still like Robinson as a RB on the rise, his blocking and offense is doing him in and his value is fading quickly. On Sunday he ran for 30 yards on his ten carries. He remains an option at your flex spot the next few weeks, but be aware that he is extremely touchdown reliant.
Reggie Bush-Detroit Lions: The good news for Bush owners is that he did return to the field on Sunday against the Bucs. The bad news is that he struggled to get much going. He totaled 26 yards on his eight carries and added four catches for just eight more yards. He is working his way back into the flow, but his production probably comes too late for owners who were hoping for more from him this season.
