Fantasy Football Week 14 Biggest Busts: Top Disappointments
Wide Receivers
Demaryius Thomas-Denver Broncos: With the Broncos going run-heavy, Thomas was left with just 11 yards on his two catches. While Broncos fans are happy with the win, Thomas owners aren’t happy for the poorly timed down game.
Josh Gordon-Cleveland Browns: Gordon and the Browns lost a tough game to the Colts, but their offense was definitely bad enough to deserve the loss. How much of Gordon’s struggles are due to bad quarterback play and possible conditioning issues is debatable, but either way his 15 yards on two catches was a huge disappointment to his owners.
Torrey Smith-Baltimore Ravens: Smith was active and played but served solely as a decoy and was untargeted in the Ravens week 14 win in Miami. His no catches and no yards came at a bad time for owners who didn’t get him to their bench due to the pregame rumblings that his knee was at less than 100%.
Kenny Stills-New Orleans Saints: Stills was in prime position to be a difference-maker in the playoffs, but he struggled this week catching just three passes for 23 yards in a mostly stagnant Saints attack.
Reggie Wayne-Indianapolis Colts: Wayne was targeted eight times on Sunday against the Browns but only managed one catch for five yards. Wyane has been fading all season and his numbers continue to slide despite plenty of passes still coming hi way.
Andre Johns0n-Houston Texans: Johnson left the Texans game early with an injury, but his 17 yards on four catches were a tough blow for his owners to overcome.
Larry Fitzgerald-Arizona Cardinals: Fitz had another disappointing Sunday catching four passes for 34 yards. The Cardinals rallied to win, but Fitz isn’t helping his owners playoff run at this point.
Jordan Matthews-Philaelphis Eagles: Matthews and the whole Eagles offense was a disappointment this week, but at least his counterpart Jeremy Maclin found the end zone. Matthews did not and only caught two passes for 23 yards earning him a spot on our fantasy football week 14 biggest busts.
