NFL: What to Watch For in Week 17

First Overall Pick Watch
Whether it’s the Buccaneers, the Titans, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets, or the Oakland Raiders, the team who gets the first pick will have a huge decision to make. If you own the top pick, you basically have three choices. Either draft a quarterback in Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston, draft an elite defensive linemen in Leonard Williams or Randy Gregory, or trade back and stockpile draft picks.
With teams knowing the long-term benefits of a top overall pick, it will be interesting to see on Sunday whether some teams tank on purpose. Obviously it’s looked down upon, but one of these teams, if not all, would love to have the top pick. It goes a great way in predicting the success of a franchise in the future.
