Jose Abreu is easily the best hitter on the Chicago White Sox, but some people are wondering if he is a risky pick in the first round. Some people may be concerned that he only hit 7 HR after the All-Star Game, but he slashed .350/.435/.513 in those 63 games. It is just hard to comprehend someone who was so unbelievable to flop the following year, but then again, Chris Davis was a first rounder in 2014. My stance on Jose Abreu has not changed since my article here.
One of the most popular 2015 sleepers is Adam Eaton because he is coming off a year where he scored 76 runs, hit .300, and stole 15 bases in only 123 games. I am really hoping that Eaton can stay healthy in 2015, but I prefer A.J. Pollock as an OF sleeper because he has more power.
I have written about Melky Cabrera before because I think he is a very safe investment. While it can be tough to predict batting average, Melky has consistently proven he can hit for average pre and post steroid suspension. Cabrera should also produce very respectable counting stats for the White Sox. Buy him if you are looking for about 15 homers and a virtual guarantee for at least a .280 average.
The White Sox outfield is loaded with sleepers, and I believe that Avisail Garcia has more fantasy value than Adam Eaton. Garcia has significantly more power than Eaton, and I believe he will outperform the White Sox CF in HR, RBI, and AVG.
