5. Key Injuries

In the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, the Seahawks saw two of their best players in Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas go down with injuries. Sherman suffered an elbow injury and although this injury won’t keep him out of the Super Bowl, the injury will bother him. Sherman will have to go against receivers like Brandon LaFell and Julian Edelman. That being said, the Seahawks have to hope Sherman will be healthy in this game.

Not only is Seattle’s best cornerback injured, but their best safety is also injured. Thomas injured his shoulder against the Packers and this injury is the more important one to watch of the two. Thomas is one of the best safeties in the game and what makes him so good is his ability to come up to the line of scrimmage and make big hits. Thomas was listed as questionable the other day, but head coach Pete Carroll declared that his injury was over. Both of these guys are expected to play, but what percent they play at is going to be important.
