Jimmy Kimmel had a number of celebrities on his show to confess to their role in deflating the footballs used by the New England Patriots offense in the AFC Championship Game.

For those wondering about that mysterious ‘locker room attendant’ who may or may not be sitting in a windowless room right now beneath the scrutinous glare of NFL investigators, wonder no more.

Jimmy Kimmel has you covered. In a recent skit, Kimmel invited a number of notable names to step forward and offer their name as the locker room attendant who reportedly deflated 11 of the 12 game balls.

So there you have it. It was Matt Damon who deflated those football. Or it was John Krasinski. Or it was Ben Affleck. Or Bill Simmons. Or it was any other Boston-based celebrity you can come up with.

Celebrity fans of the New England Patriots generally united to offer their ‘I’m Spartacus’ moment in support of franchise quarterback, Tom Brady, who can do no wrong in the eyes of the New England faithful.

Who can blame fans for their fervor? Now making his sixth Super Bowl appearance, Brady once again stands on the cusp of hallowed ground. With a fourth Super Bowl ring, he’d match the legendary Joe Montana among others as a four-time Super Bowl champion. Those are some high stakes.

It should come as no surprise that Patriots fans — famous and anonymous alike — are willing to take the heat for their guy just days before he plays the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.
