Miller, author of ESPN: Those Guys Have All the Fun was put on the spot by Patrick who asked him if what he was hearing through the grapevine about a potential movie based on his book was accurate.
Sure enough Miller just sealed the deal to write the screenplay and is working in conjunction with Focus Features to develop the movie.
Producer for the Dan Patrick Show, Paul Pabst, tweeted the news moments after Miller broke the news on the air.
Miller later tweeted the news as well after he got out of the studio and finished being drilled about the movie and what it will be about and who it will feature.
Miller said it will chronicle many time periods and focus on a number of ESPN personalities, including Patrick, Chris Berman and Stuart Scott, among many others.
This should be a treat for fans of the network, especially fans of SportsCenter and their cast of anchors over the years.
Now the question is, who is going to play all these guys?
