2015 Razzie Award winners announced

Annual winners for worst in film crowned for 2015
Now that the Oscars are over, we’ve all had our fill of good movies. Boyhood, Birdman… that’s all fine and good, but sometimes, you just need to get a group of friends together for a bad movie and mercilessly make fun of it.
But how to decide which films are the worst of the worst? Thankfully we have the Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies for short, which were started in 1980. This is year 35 of what has become a tradition on the same weekend as the Oscars. Past “worst picture” winners include Gigli, The Last Airbender, Catwoman, and Rambo: First Blood Part II. Sure, they’re easy targets, but they’re easy targets for a reason. (Although it’s frankly astounding that The Room never won).

This year’s winners were revealed on Feb. 21. The big “winner” for worst picture was Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, a religious movie whose stated goal was to “put Christ back in Christmas.” It beat out other luminaries such as Left Behind, The Legend of Hercules, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. Other awardees include Michael Bay as worst director, Cameron himself as worst actor, Cameron Diaz as worst actress for “Sex Tape” and “The Other Women,” (two-for-two on people named “Cameron” and this award), and Kelsey “Frasier Crane” Grammer as worst supporting actor, which may come as a surprise; he’s certainly more talented than their traditional winners, but he appeared in no less than four cash grab roles this year (Expendables 3, Legends of Oz, Think Like a Man Too and Transformers 4), and the cumulative effort earned him the award.
