Channing Tatum to show up in X-Men Apocalypse as Gambit?

Channing Tatum could be making his appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse as Gambit.

Earlier in the week, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she no longer will take part in the X-Men franchise after she plays her role in X-Men: Apocalypse. She will no longer appear as Mystique in any new movies that are added onto the series.

It could serve as the beginning to a new actor though. Rumors are starting to fly of Channing Tatum making an appearance in the movie as Gambit.

The fans would love to see Gambit make an appearance in the movie. He is one of the fan favorites from the comic book.

Channing Tatum has been selected to star in Gambit film that was scheduled to release in October 2016. The news on that film has been quiet though, so we are not sure if they still will be pushing through on that.

Could Tatum be making his appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse instead? It seems like a nice role for Tatum to pick up.

The rumors of Channing making an appearance in the film were already flowing, but this gives a better idea of what type of role he will be playing in the film. If he is taking photos to promote the movie, then we can expect a pretty large time slot for Gambit.

Last year, X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner was asked what type of actor she would be looking for to play Gambit she responded:

“It’s Channing.”

Asked to elaborate on what makes Tatum right for the role, Shuler Donner said via Hollywood Reporter, “Well you know, he’s a rogue — Channing — he’s a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau, and he can handle the action, we all know that! And he’s got a really good heart.”

“He’ll be great for Gambit,” she added, “and he’s a Southerner, too! He’s not from New Orleans, but he is a Southerner, and he understands that world.”

Comic book fans can rejoice. We should be seeing Gambit make his appearance in the next movie.
