Thousands of people will be attending each ballpark to watch their favorite teams begin play.

For the thousands of people going to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees play host to the Toronto Blue Jays, it might take a while to get into the ballpark.

With thousands of people entering the classic stadium, preemptive measures are being put in place to ensure the well-being and safety of every individual coming to the stadium.

When fans enter the stadium, they will have to pass through a metal detector, which are located at each entrance.

With thousands of people expected to attend the game, it could take a while to pass through the gates.

It’s probably best for people to get there early and plan accordingly, because waiting on 40,000+ people to individually pass through will probably cause a delay.

The Yankees aren’t the first sports team to have metal detectors at the entrance, as several sports teams have them outside the entrance before walking in. Every NFL game has individual wanding and pat downs of fans before they can enter.

Opening Day is finally here and for the fans at Yankee Stadium, they might have to wait a bit before getting there.
