Rocky Balboa steps into the ring once again in order to train the son of his fallen friend Apollo Creed in the first image from Creed.
Ever since the original film came out all the way back in 1976, one of the most easily recognizable names in boxing films has been Rocky Balboa. No matter how many times you knock him down, he has always found a way to get back up.
Over the course of the years, Rocky drew his inspiration from a number of different sources, but none of those sources provided a more intense emotion than the feelings he had for his family and his closest friends. In Rocky IV, that inspiration was drawn from the death of his very close friend Apollo Creed at the hands of Ivan Drago.
Rocky’s relationship with his friend Apollo is a long and storied one, which also details one of the most pivotal fights in the brawler’s career. It is his relationship with Creed that leads us to where we find ourselves today; on the brink of a new story in the Rocky saga that takes a closer look at Apollo’s son Adonis.
In Creed, Adonis Creed decides that he wants to follow in the footsteps of his famous father, boxing legend Apollo Creed. So, he decides to make his way to Philadelphia where his father had one of the biggest matches of his career, the battle against his eventual best friend Rocky Balboa.
Once in Philly, Adonis decides to track down Rocky and persuade him to become his trainer. Unfortunately, Rocky is dealing with his own set of problems at the moment. Of course, we all know that Rocky is never going to turn away the son of the best friend he ever had; especially not after the way that his father went out.

Now that Adonis has the former champ in his corner, he begins to master his craft and make his way through the ranks in the boxing world. As you can imagine, with someone like Rocky Balboa leading the way, Adonis soon gets a shot at the title himself.
The question that comes into play now is whether or not the young Creed has the same fire in his heart and passion in his soul that will lead him to victory the same way it led his father to victory time and time again?
It won’t be long now before we find out.
Creed is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on November 25, 2015.
