“Welcome James. It´s been a long time…and finally, here we are.”

The words quoted on the right, spoken by Christoph Waltz in his role as the villain of the new James Bond film coming later this year, couldn´t be more fitting for the introduction of our new website ‘

Eye on Bond

‘ here on the Fansided Network. The world of James Bond has long become its own universe of epic proportions: with a total of 23 films spanning over 50 years of filmmaking and fans in every corner of the earth, it is the longest-running and most successful film franchise in history.

Editor Benjamin Lind

My name is Lind…Benjamin Lind and together with my fellow editor Josh Hill, I will take you into the exciting world of agent 007 and give my best to fulfill your thirst for knowledge about the films, the villains, girls, gadgets, locations, cars and of course about ‘SPECTRE’, the latest installment in the series which will be released in October.

Every agent has a biography – even if it´s often a fake one – so let me give you a little insight of who I am and what I have done so far. My homebase is in Braunschweig, the second largest city in Lower Saxony, Germany. That´s right, I´m from the country that has constantly supplied the Bond series with exquisit villains like Gert Froebe or Curd Juergens as well as sidekicks like Ilse Steppat, Gottfried John or Goetz Otto whom I was fortunate enough to meet for dinner just a few months ago. My love for Bond began after seeing ‘GoldenEye’ in 1996, Pierce Brosnans first James Bond film. After many years of quietly following the production of every Bond film, I became actively engaged within the 007 fan community by starting my own blog, ‘The Bond Bulletin’, in 2012. We are all aware of the fact, that whatever you do on the internet doesn´t stay hidden for long and so I got in touch with many Bond fans and experts around the world. A whole new world, previously unexplored, suddenly opened up for me. In April 2014, I was one of the founding members of the James Bond Club Germany and hold an adviser position in its Executive Comittee.

Also in April 2014, I began work on a Charity Fan Documentary entitled ‘A Bond For Life‘ which will chronologically follow my experiences with Bond over the course of the past 20 years. Filming has since taken me to many original film locations in Europe and a number of fans and Special Guest Stars have contributed to the project. Among them are five time Bond composer David Arnold, lyricist and Academy Award winner Don Black, Academy Award winning production Designer Sir Ken Adam, actors Mads Mikkelsen and Goetz Otto as well as actress Nikki van der Zyl who lent her voice to many of the Bond Girls. The Charity World Premiere of the film will be in Spring 2016 here in my hometown, followed by screenings across Europe.

Just when you thought this guy must have no free time at all, I also work as a self-employed English teacher which naturally eats up most of my time as it is my regular occupation. Being an authority on all things Bond is a passion and so is blogging about it. Hardly a day goes by on which I´m not involved in this colorful and captivating universe and so I was more than happy to join Fansided in order to share my knowledge with you through quality content, interact and of course promote the greatest secret agent in the world. Consider yourself welcomed to ‘Eye on Bond‘ and don´t hesitate to leave us comments, thoughts and wishes!
