The deadliest Bond Girls

James Bond has encountered an impressive number of villains – from megalomaniacs such as Goldfinger or Hugo Drax, psychotics like Max Zorin or Francisco Scaramanga up to the ultimate criminal mastermind Ernst Stavro Blofeld. None of them would have set out on their fiendish plots without the help of sidekicks. Among them a number of women who didn´t just dazzle with their beauty, but also with lethal force. Here´s our look at the deadliest Bond Girls in the history of 007.

Fiona Volpe (‘THUNDERBALL’, 1965)

“But of course, I forgot your ego, Mr. Bond. James Bond, the one where he has to make love to a woman, and she starts to hear heavenly choirs singing. She repents, and turns to the side of right and virtue… but not this one!” – Fiona Volpe

Employed by the terror organization S.P.E.C.T.R.E. as an assassin, Fiona Volpe (played by Luciana Paluzzi) might only have one on-screen kill to her name but she helped villain Emilio Largo (played by Adolfo Celi) during his plot to steal nuclear missiles. With an alluring and sexy Italian accent paired with some diva clothing, she not only managed to kill effectively but also hop into bed with James Bond after hours.

Elektra King (‘THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH’, 1999)

“There´s no point in living, if you can´t feel alive.” – Elektra King

At first, there is no indication of oil heiress Elektra King (played by Sophie Marceau) having a sinister agenda and while she only pulls the trigger once in the film to kill Valentin Zukovsky, she is directly responsible for the killing of her own father Sir Robert King, several MI6 employees as well as the crew of a Russian Nuclear Submarine. Her attempt to kill James Bond with a

fails. Beauty and danger really go hand in hand with the first female villain in the Bond franchise, not to mention a high level of unscrupulousness.

Xenia Onatopp (‘GOLDENEYE’, 1995)

“This time Mister Bond, the pleasure will be all mine.” – Xenia Onatopp

When it comes to unusual ways to get rid of someone, Xenia Onatopp (played by Famke Janssen) takes home the gold medal as she kills by squeezing her enemies between her thighs until they suffocate. Although she only kills one man with this method and fails twice to get rid of Bond with it, she is responsible for the death of the two Tiger helicopter pilots in Monaco as well as the entire staff at the Severnaya Satellite Control Center who falls victim to Xenias machine gun rampage. Given that Onatopp takes sexual pleasure out of killing and has the most viscious persona of all Bond Girls, she is the hottest contender for psychopath of the year. I mean, she would have been if Bond hadn´t killed her in a “tight squeeze”.
