Cavs forward Kevin Love won’t accept apology from Celtics’ Kelly Olynyk for dislocating Love’s shoulder.

Kevin Love is not in a forgiving mood.

They say forgiveness is a virtue, but Love, the Cavaliers forward, is apparently not in the mood to indulge in that particular virtue right now.

Love’s shoulder was dislocated when he got tied up with Boston’s Kelly Olynyk during Game 4 of their round one series; as a result, Love will miss the remainder of the postseason.

Since the injury, Olynyk, a second-year Celtics forward, has attempted to make amends with Love, but the Cavs forward has rebuffed his attempts, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

"Olynyk wants to tell Love personally that he never intended to injure him in Game 4 of that series, that he’s sorry for the shoulder surgery that’ll cost Love six months. Strangely, Love continues to rebuff Olynyk. He isn’t interested in the call, refusing to ease Olynyk’s guilt."

Clearly Love is still more than a little bit upset about the injury.

If you’re wondering why Love isn’t quite in a forgiving mood just yet, this picture will probably explain it:

Or maybe this video, which makes it look like Olynyk is trying to rip Love’s arm off, like he’s a dinosaur in Jurassic Park or something:

Love, for his part, believes Olynyk injured him on purpose.

“I thought it was a bush-league play,” he told reporters after the game. “I have no doubt in my mind that he did it on purpose.”

Love admits that he has been avoiding the Boston forward’s calls, saying he’ll save the conversation for later down the road, according to Cleveland.com.

Bad as it looked, it’s unlikely that Olynyk was trying to injure Love on purpose, as some fans and media members have claimed. First of all, Olynyk looked too uncoordinated to be doing anything on purpose. Second of all, why would he target an opposing player when his team is being swept and realistically has no hope of winning the series? It just wouldn’t make a lot of sense, especially from Olynyk, who isn’t known as a dirty player.

Still, if Love believes he was injured on purpose, it could potentially hurt the Celtics’ chances of reeling him in as a free agent this summer. The Celtics have the cap space, the need, and the interest, but if Love believes the team injured him on purpose, chances are he’ll be avoiding their calls too.
