Phillip Dorsett, WR, Indianapolis Colts

While I felt like a receiver was a silly direction in which to go for an Indianapolis Colts team which had tremendous defense and offensive line need, Dorsett is very talented.

As the roster stands for this season, no room for him in an offense. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has T.Y. Hilton, Andre Johnson and Donte Moncrief as well as two solid tight ends to throw to.

Johnson is at the end of his career though, so over the next few years, Dorsett has a good chance to win a bigger part of the offense. The Colts like their three-wide sets, so he would at least slide into the third spot.

As far as this year goes, though, it’s hard to imagine Dorsett finding targets even if, given the lack of overall improvement for the Colts defense, this is a team which will let up a lot of points and so the offense will have to score a lot of them. Everyone may see more targets because the Colts have to throw, which could increase how many targets Dorsett gets in 2015, but he’s still going to be too far down the pecking order this year.

Ultimately, Dorsett is a talented player with Andrew Luck throwing the ball to him. With that combination he has a chance to put up the kind of numbers that get you into the Pro Bowl, especially in a division which doesn’t seem to have the best secondary’s, perhaps with the exception of the Houston Texans.

It just might be a few seasons before we see it.
