Oakland Raiders

Much like the Browns, it feels weird to be praising the Raiders, but they deserve it.

Amari Cooper was the only choice they could make at number four, but at least they made it. The former Alabama wide receiver was arguably the best offensive player in college football during the 2014 season, and he is the incredibly polished and dynamic target that the Raiders needed to pair with their (alleged) franchise quarterback in Derek Carr.

Scouts are mixed on the selection of former FSU star Mario Edwards in round two, but the talent is real there. Explosive plays are what Edwards can bring, and with Khalil Mack prominently featured, he won’t face double-teams.

The class is rounded out with Clive Watford (who I absolutely love) and former Kansas linebacker Ben Heeney, both of whom can start in Week 1 if given the opportunity. Some will undoubtedly be surprised by Oakland’s inclusion here, but Amari Cooper is that good and he helps a great deal.
