C. Kentucky. Dakari Johnson. 28. player. 18. At this point in the draft, it’s all about going off of pure potential. Throw all the point guards out the window, because we all know that you can’t teach size in the NBA. Dakari Johnson is more than big enough for the Celtics to risk a draft pick on.
At seven feet tall and 250 pounds heavy, Johnson could be the next best center in the NBA. He certainly has the size for it. The problem is, because of the big men Kentucky had this past year, Johnson didn’t get to show off what he could do. He didn’t even average 10 points in his freshman year.

However, with the physical tools that Johnson posseses, there is no reason for the Celtics not to take a chance on him. He has everything a center in the NBA needs as far as size goes, so now it’s just a matter if Brad Stevens and the Celtics coaching staff can develop the man.
