Penn State and Notre Dame got into a slight scuffle on the internet Wednesday, and Penn State may have won

If you’re a person that loves sports, then there’s a chance that you love sports movies. Well, if you love sports movies, especially football ones, then chances are that you love “Rudy,” the story of the Notre Dame walk-on that made it, and even got his moment with a sack at the end. Well, of course, people have argued for years that while it was a great moment, if you watch closely, Rudy was actually offsides on the play.

Well, Penn State was pretty quick to point that out on Wednesday.

It all started when the official Penn State Twitter account tweeted out a picture of their police dog, Rudie.

Well, Notre Dame felt the need to chime in with their two cents.

"@penn_state @PennStatePolice That’s an awesome name for a dog! We prefer the spelling ‘Rudy,’ though! — Notre Dame (@NotreDame) July 29, 2015"

That was a nice response by the Irish. HOWEVER, Penn State then laid down the hammer.

"@NotreDame @PennStatePolice Maybe, if the dog was offsides. — Penn State (@penn_state) July 29, 2015"

Welp, we can pretty much call this one over. Penn State wins this round. Not the craziest Twitter altercation that we’ve ever seen, but entertaining nonetheless.
