Larry Donnell-New York Giants

Last season, Larry Donnell was the 12th highest scoring tight end in standard scoring leagues ahead of Dwayne Allen, Zach Ertz, Owen Danils, and Jordan Cameron who are all going well ahead of him in this year’s fantasy drafts.  Donnell finished with 623 yards on 63 catches including six touchdowns. He definitely had his ups and downs, but was a solid red zone target for Eli Manning and is expected to be the clear starter at TE for the Giants again this season.

Donnell has been dealing with a troublesome Achilles’ injury which is cause for concern, but he’s been participating in preseason, so he should be ready to go when the Giants open the season against the Cowboys.

While there are definitely questions about Donnell, he’s currently going underrated in almost all formats and as the 26th tight end taken when he is being picked.  He can be had on waiver wires or in the last round of most leagues, and he’s worth a flier especially with Victor Cruz’s availability early in the season now in question.
