Fantasy football: 8 late round TE to target
Ladarius Green-San Diego Chargers
If you’re planning on taking a wait-and-see approach to see who emerges at tight end, one option to start the season with is the Chargers’ Ladarius Green who is going undrafted in almost all formats.
Green will definitely get his chance to shine in the first four weeks while Antonio Gates is serving his suspension, and Green has flashed the ability to produce big plays in his limited role in the past. If you were watching for Green to have a huge preseason and claim the job long-term, you’ve had quite the letdown with the six-foot six-inch giant only hauling in two passes for 27 yards.
With Gates entering a contract year, expect the Chargers to take a long look at Green as their starting TE of the future. The team is reportedly high on him, and he’ll have a chance to make some noise in the early weeks of the season.
If Green stumbles, you can easily switch to another option, but as a late round TE flier, he has some solid upside despite being the 24th TE off the board.
