49ers fans brawl with Vikings fan after Monday Night Football (Video)

An altercation between several 49ers fans and a Vikings fan took a scary turn on Monday night

Despite the fact that the majority of NFL fans and sports fans in general maintain a level of sportsmanship with other fan-bases, there are always going to be those that take it entirely too far. After Monday Night Football between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings, that’s exactly what happened between a group of 49ers fans and one Vikings fan.

As fans were exiting the stadium, a verbal altercation began between several 49ers fans and a Vikings fan. That verbal altercation escalated and ultimately resulted with the group of San Francisco fans ganging up on the Minnesota fan, as seen in this video (Warning: Violence and language).

The guy who posted the video is claiming that the Niners fans were walking away when the Vikings fan further escalated the situation by yelling at them. That’s when he turned his back and was taken to the ground by one of the 49ers fans (the man seen throwing the first punch on the ground) and then attacked by several others.

This is downright insane. Regardless of the situation leading up to the brawl, this is unacceptable behavior for fans. It’s not even acceptable for two drunken buffoons to fight between themselves, much less to have a group of fans join in on the attack of one fan, no matter how belligerent he may have been.

Supporting your team is a big part of sports. However, taking it to this extreme is the opposite of fun. For everyone involved in the brawl, Vikings and 49ers fans alike, you should be ashamed for giving sports fans this kind of negative attention.
