Mike Zimmer had what may have been his most refreshing tobacco chewing session on the sideline after the Vikings’ win.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer may find himself in trouble soon, as he was seen chewing tobacco on the sideline. He did this after the Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions, 28-19.

Zimmer’s tobacco chewing is extremely ironic. Vikings running back Adrian Peterson sustained an illness earlier in the week from accidentally swallowing tobacco. He was listed as questionable for the Vikings’ game against the Lions, but he was ultimately able to take the field. The All-Pro running back rushed for 98 yards on 19 carries, but the Vikings head coach seems to have forgotten that Peterson was sick from chewing tobacco.

Taking dips on the sideline is forbidden in the NFL. Former NFL vice president of officiating Mike Pereira confirmed this on FOX Sports, so Zimmer may receive a fine assuming the NFL catches wind of this video. However, Vikings fans are likely to have a laugh over the video since they must be happy with the Vikings’ winning ways.

The Vikings faced a 14-3 deficit against the Lions, but they have improved their record to 4-2. Zimmer may have simply needed to let off steam after the Vikings’ relatively close game. The Vikings head coach may have chewed the most expensive tobacco of his life though.
