Michigan State. Jack Conklin. 30. player. 32.
The Arizona Cardinals are as balanced a team as exists in the National Football League, but damned if they just can’t get that steady push from the offensive line. Not to say it’s terrible, per say, but it could use a little work.

Living off the back of a powerful defense – most notably the secondary – Arizona has been able to weather the storm of key offensive injuries over the past couple of seasons. However, with Carson Palmer and Chris Johnson getting up there in age, and Andre Ellington perennially dinged up, getting a little protection on the offensive line would go a long way.

Jack Conklin’s stock has slipped a bit following his team’s dismantling at the hands of Alabama in the Cotton Bowl, but make no mistake he is a first round talent. He has a tendency to get beaten off by speed rushers, but is still a powerful tackle. Given this, it’s likely that Conklin will play at right tackle in the National Football League.

Conklin is exceptional in the run game, and is very powerful off the jump. He needs to work on his angulation some, but is very coachable and a leader on the line. This is a pick that works out well for both the Cardinals and Conklin.
. OT
