Conor McGregor makes Rolling Stone’s list of ‘sex symbols’

Conor McGregor hits another sexy career accolade.

Conor McGregor continues to flex his muscle both inside and out of the Octagon. This time, the new UFC featherweight champion made an exclusive list of Rolling Stone’s “25 Hottest Sex Symbols of 2015.”

This list is comprised of men and women who not only had a successful 12 months, but also “looked good doing it.” McGregor’s addition to the list puts him next to names such as Daisy Ridley, star of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” John Oliver and presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. The publication spoke very highly of the UFC’s newest champion:

“After his record-setting 13 second KO of Jose Aldo at UFC 194, there’s no denying that the brash, brawling Irishman is currently the biggest star in mixed martial arts (sorry, Ronda); and now, he’s got Aldo’s Featherweight Championship, too.”

McGregor had an extremely successful 2015 that included the victory over Aldo, leading the main event and stopping Chad Mendes at UFC 189 – one of the promotion’s biggest shows of the year, and defeating Dennis Siver. Outside of the cage, McGregor has continued to draw attention from organizations such as ESPN, GQ Magazine and other national outlets.

McGregor used 2015 to cement his name as a crossover star in combat sports.

As MMA continues to look for big names to funnel to other outlets, this accolade continues to show that the world should listen when Conor McGregor talks.
