High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,300): Unless he leaves early with an injury (which seems to be every time I play him), Davis is a very reliable fans contributor of at least 40 fantasy points with the potential for much more. He had 47.4 fantasy points in his most recent game on Tuesday with 35 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of blocks.  He’ll have to deal with the stout front line of the Pistons tonight, but even in that matchup there isn’t a much safer star to invest in as long as he plays his usual minutes and doesn’t end up logging extra time in the locker room.∗∗

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,700): Millsap is a unique player who can offer almost as much production as Davis when at his best although he does it in a far less conventional way.  Millsap had 23 points, two assists, two steals, and nine rebounds last night in Portland for a solid 39.8 fantasy points. He has at least 39 fantasy points in four of his last six games and six of his last ten.  The Kings allow the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing PF so as long as the game is competitive I expect another good game from Millsap.  When he faced Sacramento earlier this season, Millsap totaled 23 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals in a monster stat line.

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (6,300): Z-Bo has been back in the starting lineup for Memphis, but he hasn’t gone crazy averaging just 11.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while scoring between 20-23 fantasy points in each of those contests.  He should be able to produce a good game tonight though against the Nuggets who have been beat up by opposing PF all season.  The the two teams played two weeks ago, Randolph had 24 points and six boards on his way to 38.7 fantasy points. His recent form in the starting lineup is a caution sign, but his upside in such a plus matchup is also undeniable. ∗∗
