The Denver Broncos are now atop the NFL after defeating the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50

The Denver Broncos went into Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 7 as the underdogs against the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. By the time that the final whistle sounded, though, the Broncos were not underdogs at all, but rather the champions of the NFL after a gritty victory in the big game by a score of 24-10.

The Broncos went 12-4 in the regular season behind their dominant defense led by their incredible pair of edge-rushers in Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, despite the fact that Peyton Manning didn’t look like himself for much of the season and even missed several games due to injury in favor of Brock Osweiler.

With the way Manning had performed throughout the season, though, many questioned how he would perform in Super Bowl 50 against a talented Panthers team with only one loss on the entire year. However, it turns out Manning wasn’t even needed as the defense again stepped up in a big way to help Peyton (potentially) ride off into the sun as a Super Bowl champion.

Though there were doubters and though they were underdogs in this game, they performed like anything but in Super Bowl 50 and now hoist the Lombardi Trophy (and dab) in front of the Panthers as champions.
