High Value C

Nikola Jokic-Denver Nuggets (5,700): Jokic has a world of upside, but his playing time and production fluctuates wildly from game to game.  He has at least 28 fantasy points in each of his last three games after opening the second half with a 0.75-fantasy-point bomb against the Kings. He’s still risky given the different big men the Nuggets are trying to work into their rotation, but he has huge upside as he showed with back-to-back games of over 43 fantasy points in the last week.

Robin Lopez-New York Knicks (5,600): Lopez and Jokic have a lot in common in that they can both go off or disappear on a given night.  Lopez had just 19.25 fantasy points against the Pacers Wednesday after 40.75 fantasy points against the Raptors and 51 fantasy points against the T-Wolves in his previous two contests.  Lopez looks like he fits into coach Kurt Rambis’s plans pretty well, and I think he’ll play plenty of minutes against Vucevic tonight making him a slightly safer play than Jokic (although not totally safe).

Al Jefferson-Charlotte Hornets (4,800): At a discounted rate since he’s still coming back from injury, Big Al represents some solid value tonight against the Pacers.  Jefferson has scored in double-digits in each of his last two games and has at least 16 fantasy points in each of his last three.  He is still coming off the bench for now behind Cody Zeller, but he has the potential to produce double-double performances as long as he continues to progress in his recovery from his torn meniscus.
