4. Indianapolis Colts

Perhaps no team could use Arian Foster more than the Indianapolis Colts. Their running game is pitiful and it affects how the Colts play. It allows defenses to hone in Andrew Luck and send aggressive blitzes. Their lack of a running game makes a potentially dangerous offense one-dimensional. The Colts are likely going to try to overhaul their running game. Signing Arian Foster would be an excellent start.

Indianapolis would benefit from having a versatile back like Foster. Most of the backs that they have tried out as of late were one-dimensional. Foster is effective whether he’s running the ball up the middle, cutting to the outside, or working as a receiver out of the backfield. The Colts would have to fix their offensive line as well, but should they do that, adding Faulk could make their offense Super Bowl caliber.

There is one issue with Foster that the Colts should be worried about: his health. There are legitimate concerns about Foster’s health after his past three seasons. However, do the Colts have the time to look for another option when Foster is most likely the best running back in free agency? Andrew Luck will only be young for so long. It’s time that the Colts start doing smart things. Signing Foster would be one of them.
