Astros players troll Jose Altuve over his height (photo)

Members of the Houston Astros posted this hilarious photo to troll their star second baseman, Jose Altuve.

For the past two seasons, the best player on the Houston Astros has been the one who still needs a booster seat in some situations. Jose Altuve, the team’s star second baseman, has led the American League in hits and stolen bases both years while also being named an All-Star both times and winning the Silver Slugger award (in addition to being the batting champ in 2014).

It’s a feel-good story considering that Altuve is generously listed as 5’6″ tall by the Astros (though some other outlets believe it’s closer to 5’4″ or 5’5″). His performance on the field has gained him respect from those who look past his small stature and see what he’s doing on the field.

That doesn’t mean he’s immune to some ribbing from opposing fans and teams…heck, he’s even catching heat from members of his own team for having to jump up to give a high-five.

Inside the team’s spring training facility in Kissimmee, Florida, Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick had some fun with the urinals inside a team bathroom, while “honoring” Altuve with one of his own:

Oh, that Marisnick has some jokes, doesn’t he! The Astros don’t mind which one Altuve has to use when he needs to go to the restroom…just as long as when he washes his hands and gets out of there, he picks up a bat and gets on bases three times in a game, at least.
