9. Toronto Raptors

PF-C. Marquette. Henry Ellenson . 9. player. 81. Henry Ellenson is intriguing because while his shooting wasn’t great at Marquette — 28.8 percent — he is being billed as a stretch 4 in the NBA. That’s because his mechanics and form are all great, he just had a rough freshman season shooting the rock, and some of that may be due to his surrounding cast as well. Where Ellenson stands to make his money is on the boards as he averaged 9.7 boards a night as a freshman, and he gathered 25 percent of on defensive rebounds while on the floor as well.
Ellenson is 6-10 but he’s not a rim protector and his overall defense leaves a little to be desired, however he’s shown that he can move well laterally and has solid footwork, so with some coaching he could be viable on that end of the court.

The Toronto Raptors are pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers to the brink right now in their attempt to make the NBA Finals, so whoever they select with this pick is not likely to jump in and crack their steady rotation immediately. They also have some young players in Lucas Nogueira and Bruno Caboclo who will be vying for any available minutes. Ellenson could step in and learn from a pro like Patrick Patterson, who would subsequently be a great comparison for who Ellenson could eventually be in the NBA as well.

To read more on Henry Ellenson <a href=
