The Heat will be looking for shooting, and with so many free agents, ranging from Wade to the slightly forgotten Tyler Johnson, plenty of names are bound to come up as free agency progresses. They’ve already reportedly expressed interest in Jamal Crawford as a backup option if other players are too expensive, although there’s a far less high-profile name that can be worthy of some interest on a far cheaper deal.

Of course, this depends on what the Heat do with Johnson and whether they can sign guys like Dudley, Williams, Crawford, or any other veterans.

Combo guard E’Twaun Moore emerged with the biggest role of his young career for the Chicago Bulls last season, and even started 22 games as they battled with injuries. During a 27-game span which included those starts, he averaged 10.7 points and 2.7 assists per game, shooting 47.2 percent from three and 47.7 percent overall. Over 59 appearances in the season, he shot 45.2 percent from deep.

Beyond that impressive shooting and refined offensive input as he plays well within his role, Moore was a key defender for the Bulls, too, making the most of his sturdy, 6’4″ frame to body up opponents while rotating around the perimeter effectively and holding his own well in the paint against bigger opponents if need be.

Even as a lesser known talent with far less experience and production than bigger names, Moore shouldn’t be overlooked as a talented, cheaper backup option with some upside for the Heat to consider.
