1. Texas Rangers

With Cole Hamels being a stable force at the top and Yu Darvish returning from injury, the Texas Rangers may not have the obvious holes in the rotation of some of these other teams, but they have been aggressively targeting starting pitching and adding Hill could take them over the top.

The 54-36 Rangers have the best record in baseball. They are loaded with talent all over the field, making it difficult to imagine where they can even make improvements to their squad.

That being said, some rotation depth would certainly help, as I don’t think anyone truly believes that Kyle Loshe is the answer.

Also, the Rangers are stocked with as much, if not more, prospect talent than anybody in baseball. They undoubtedly have the resources to make a big move, with Hill being a guy who would also make a ton of sense for them.

A rotation led by Hamels, Darvish and Hill, followed up with guys like Martin Perez and A.J. Griffin has elite-level upside, and is undoubtedly a championship caliber group.

The Rangers have an opportunity to go for it all this season, as they have the horses to win a championship. Adding an impact starter like Hill could be the move that gets them where they want to be.
