Will Marvel be at San Diego Comic-Con 2016?

The real question is more like: How much will Marvel be at Comic-Con 2016?

Yes, the week of San Diego Comic-Con is finally upon us. Starting on Wednesday, July 20 with preview night and stretching all the way until Sunday the 24th, geeky eyes the world over will be on San Diego for the latest news and possible surprise announcements.

One of the biggest attendees of recent years has been Marvel, and the entertainment giant will have an appropriately large footprint this year. For those looking to stop at the booth, Comic-Con International’s list of exhibitors puts Marvel’s booth at number 2329, which looks to be just across the way from DC Comics.

As for the panels, here are the four big ones you’ll want to keep an eye on. All times are Pacific.

  • Marvel’s Luke Cage: The cast of the upcoming Netflix series will make its first appearance and show fans exclusive footage ahead of the September 30 premiere. Jeph Loeb will moderate. Thursday, July 21 at 5:45 p.m.
  • Marvel Civil War II: Want to know what’s coming up in Marvel’s current big storyline? Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso will be on hand, as will writers like Ms. Marvel‘s G. Willow Wilson. Friday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: Cast members like Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons and more are scheduled to appear, as will Jeph Loeb. They’ll show off exclusive footage and tease season 4. Friday the 22nd at 3:00 p.m.
  • Marvel Studios: If you pay attention to just one of these panels, pick this one. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and “special guests” will take you deep into what’s coming up for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn and some of the cast will be there. Expect some info on Doctor Strange, too. Saturday the 23rd at 5:45 p.m.

For a complete schedule, including the rest of Marvel’s panels, Comic-Con International has you covered. A quick count of any panels with “Marvel” in the name comes up with a count of 19.
